The Demise of blackwrxspecc
It has been almost 4 wonderful years since I've joined Xanga. It used to be a cool place where you can blog about stuff to your friends. Xanga used to be a place where I could show off my abilities to make Xanga layouts. You remember those days when I used to make/change new layouts on my Xanga?
As the wonderful years went by, things have changed.
- Your friends have moved onto Facebook, Myspace, or other social networking sites for one reason or another.
- People stalking you because you put out too much information on your Xanga.
- Random strangers reading your Xanga. You feel there is no sense of privacy.
- You see your friends moving onto other social networking sites, and you want to follow.
- Other social networking sites have features that you wish Xanga had.
- Xanga doesn't allow you to be "you" (e.g. customizing layouts, add your stuff, etc.).
- Xanga is seen as "immature" by some.
- People grow up. There are better things to do than to be on Xanga.
- and many more...
Alright, let's get straight to the point. It's sad for me to say this but it's true. Xanga is a graveyard for us old school Xangans. It is only a matter of time when all of us will move on.
Stalk.andy.r.us
Here are ways you can still stalk me (and I don't mind either!):
Facebook
Most of you reading this are already on Facebook. In fact, you might have seen my Xanga posts on my Facebook profile (making you read it twice!). Facebook has two blogging features.
- You can import your blog posts onto your Facebook. Facebook calls them "Notes".
- You can directly make posts in Facebook.
I've been using the first method. Whenever I make a Xanga post, Facebook automatically grabs it and puts it on my Facebook Notes.
Anyways, you'll be able to read my latest posts on your Facebook because I'll be importing my blog posts (from another blog) onto my Facebook.
Tumblr
I stumbled onto this blogging service the other day. I can't believe how simple it is, and it's packed with features.
Tumblr will be the "gateway" to my Facebook and Virb (I'll explain this one in a bit). It has the ability to import stuff from all the sites that you use (Flickr, YouTube, Twitter, etc.).
Whatever posts I'll make on my Tumblr, is what you'll see on my Facebook.
MySpace and Virb
Gesh. Everybody has a MySpace...and so do I. However, I'll be putting more focus on my Virb for now. Many of you probably haven't heard about it yet but it's been said that Virb is the "nice looking" MySpace. Most of my web design friends and coworkers go on there now because they've abandon MySpace.
No fear. I'll be on both MySpace and Virb.
Thanks and Goodbye Xanga
If it weren't for Xanga, I wouldn't have met some people (like Linny, Annette, and others). If it weren't for Xanga, I wouldn't have stayed up on most nights and make those fancy layouts. If it weren't for Xanga, I wouldn't have learned HTML/CSS and pursue into being a web designer.
Well, this is only a goodbye to my Xanga so make sure to keep in touch with me elsewhere. I'm sorry if you read through this entire post but a goodbye post should always be a long one.

Journey From The Fall
An untold story of Vietnam. I'm happy to hear that they're releasing this movie in Spring 2007. I know A LOT of Vietnamese people are going to go watch this movie.
You can also watch a better quality or high definition version of the trailer here.

Why Use Gmail?
Google made a very interesting video on why you should use gmail. It's a commercial using cardboards and voice actors. Pretty funny.
Sign up for gmail!
